Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 June 2026

MyDocMaker is built to respect your privacy. The application runs entirely on your own device, and your documents never leave your computer.

1. Who we are

MyDocMaker is a DocMaker Studio product, operated by Hay & Wilson LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what data we do and don’t collect through the mydocmaker.com website and the MyDocMaker desktop application.

2. The app processes your files locally

MyDocMaker is a desktop application. The files, web pages and photos you add, and the PDFs and signatures you create, are processed on your own computer. We do not upload, store, or have any access to your documents or their contents.

  • Your documents stay on your device (or wherever you choose to save them).
  • Digital signatures and credentials you use remain local to your machine.
  • The app can work offline — no account or sign-in is required to use it.

3. Information we collect on the website

The mydocmaker.com website is a static informational site. We aim to collect as little as possible:

  • Contact information you give us. If you email us (for example about a commercial license), we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, and use it only to respond.
  • Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may process standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site.
  • Downloads. Application downloads are hosted on GitHub. When you download, GitHub’s own privacy practices apply.

4. Cookies & analytics

The website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

5. How we use information

We use the limited information above to:

  • respond to your enquiries and provide support;
  • issue and manage commercial licenses;
  • operate, secure and improve the website.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site and licensing (such as our hosting and email providers), and where required by law.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@mydocmaker.com.

8. Data retention

We keep correspondence and licensing records only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

9. Children

The website and app are not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
